Island Protection
Island protection ensures your island remains safe from unwanted interference by other players. Below is a breakdown of what guests can and cannot do when visiting an island.
🛡️ General Protection
The island system includes built-in protections to keep your island safe from environmental damage and griefing:
- 💥 Creeper Explosions: Disabled — creepers cannot damage blocks or harm your island.
- 🧱 Enderman Griefing: Disabled — endermen cannot pick up or move blocks.
- ⚔️ PvP: Disabled — players cannot damage each other on islands.
These protections are always active and do not require any configuration.
🔒 Guest Restrictions
Guests (non-members of your island) have limited permissions to prevent griefing or abuse:
- ❌ Block Placement & Breaking: Guests cannot place or break any blocks.
- ❌ Item Pickup & Drop: Guests cannot drop or pick up items on your island.
- ❌ Villager Trading: All forms of trading with villagers are disabled for guests.
- ❌ Container Access: Guests cannot open:
- Chests
- Shulker boxes
- Barrels
- Hoppers
- ❌ Interaction Blocks: Guests cannot use or interact with:
- Buttons & Levers
- Pressure Plates
- Beds
- Anvils
- Brewing Stands
⚔️ Guest Combat Permissions
Guests can kill monsters that spawn on your island. However:
- ❌ Guests cannot attack any non-monster entities, such as:
- Villagers
- Animals
- Iron Golems
- Armor Stands
-
✅ Zombie Villagers are considered monsters, so guests can attack and kill them.
-
💰 Loot Rules: They will only receive monster drops if Drop2Inv is enabled.
- ✅ With Drop2Inv: Loot goes directly to the guest's inventory.
- ❌ Without Drop2Inv: Loot drops on the ground, but guests cannot pick it up.
You can toggle this setting at any time using the /drop2inv
command.
💡 Tip
If you're playing with friends, you can add or remove players from your island using the /coop <nickname>
command.
To make your island private (restricted only to you and your members), you can toggle the privacy setting from the island menu.
